The Third Congress of Wound Healing Societies met in Toronto, Canada between June 4-8, 2008. The World Union of Wound Healing Societies is a consortium of associations from around the world with a single mission: "to enhance the lives of persons with wounds worldwide". Every four years the WUWHS brings the world together to share the latest developments in wound care, to share their collective experiences through symposia presentations, posters and to present one of the largest wound care exhibitions by our industry that is presented in any wound meeting in the world.
Greystone was very well represented at this meeting, with our business, research, sales and clinical personnel in attendance. We had an attractive Exhibit Booth very close to the booths of major corporate sponsors of the meeting and had heavy interest in our wound care products. In addition, two of our collaborators, Drs. Gregory Schultz and Christopher Hendrix, gave excellent talks and presented posters. Dr. Hendrix is a foot and ankle surgeon from 'Mid South Foot and Ankle Specialists', Memphis, TN. He presented a poster at the WUWHS meeting, entitled "Use of PHI Technology in the Treatment of Hard to Heal Wounds".
