Product Description

MelMax® is a medical device manufactured by Dermagenics and currently available and approved for use in Europe and the Middle East. MelMax® is a sterile, non-adherent wound dressing composed of buckwheat honey which contains a rich source of phenolic compounds that have been domonstrated to provide antioxidant activity and an anti-bacterial effect.1, 2 MelMax® can be effectively used for all types of acute and chronic wounds, including burns.

Indications for MelMax® wound dressing

Acute wounds:

  • Burns
  • Surgical wounds
  • Traumatic wounds
  • Other acute wounds where fast epithelialization is required

Chronic wounds

  • Leg ulcers
  • Diabetic ulcers
  • Decubitus ulcers
